First before I get started, I'd like to give a shout out to Barb Rolek for visiting my blog.  Barb has a site at  http://forums.about.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&webtag=ab-easteurofood  You will find recipes from Poland, Hungry, Croatia, Serbia, Russia, and every country and nationality in that region.  If you want to cook like Grandma used to cook, this is the place to go.  Thanks for visiting Barb and I hope you become a follower.

and NOW!  My rant.

I am outraged by Union forces outside of the state of Wisconsin spending millions trying to influence the out come of our elections.  Before I hear from you saying both sides have outside money coming in, you are probably right.  What both sides do not do, and I haven't seen on any Republican incumbent commercial, is the type of slander, smears, and out right lies put out by these THUGS!

The filthy innuendos about an "ALLEGED" mistress getting a job from Governor Walker, an advertising mailer accusing Kim Simac of calling Vietnam veterans UN AMERICAN.  Luther Olson accused of poisoning lakes, and streams.  The countless, baseless lies about the state of Wisconsin going after Grandma's Medicare...., MEDICARE!!!! IS A FEDERAL PROGRAM.  The only way anything is going to happen to Medicare at the state level, is if the person is on MEDICAID.., A STATE MANDATED PROGRAM.

Under MEDICAID, if you are at a certain low income level the state will pay your MEDICARE co-pay, your part "D" Medicare drug insurance, supplemental insurance, and subsidise your drug co-pay.  This is all well, and good.  When people are in dire straights we need to help them.  The thing is, it goes beyond that.  It subsidises things like glasses, dentures, hearing aids, and a whole lot more, not covered by Medicare, and it's all free.  In fact because of the specifications demanded by the state, the former is much more expensive then the cost would be if a recipient would purchase these things privately.

How do I know this?  Because eight years ago my wife had a stroke, we were enrolled on MEDICAID.  When I was on it, I needed to get false teeth.  My wife also needed false teeth.  She wasn't on Medicare so she didn't qualify for MEDICAID.  We went to Green Bay, went to a discount dental place, bought upper, and lower dentures for $400.  I was going to get my dentures there, but because of state rules I had to go through a regular Dental office.  The result was $2000 for my dentures, my cost $0.00.  Do you see a problem with saving $1,600 for a pair of dentures!  You don't think a program like this should be tweaked!

Now how about tax breaks for Millionaires !  DO YOU WANT JOBS!  that's what that is all about.  Give them breaks to start, and expand business.  I hear the union clowns with their class warfare decrying the giving the rich the breaks, while making the poor pay.  If you want to raise revenue, put more people to work, the more people earning a wage as opposed to being on the dole raises revenue.  Come on folks, it's not rocket science.  Less unemployment, more taxes collected, less money out to pay for food stamps, health care, unemployment benefits, means more money for those in need, more money for classrooms.  WE NEED JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.  Ask the guys at Mercury Marine.  They stuck with the union and almost LOST their jobs.  They fired their union! Now Mercury is hiring more folks.  The Union railed  at the workers.  You see the union didn't care if those folks had work, because the union is about the UNION, NOT THE WORKERS!

Quite frankly I would no longer support the POLITICO'S with the "Union Bought, and Owned" label stamped on their foreheads, under ANY circumstances.

ANY POLITICAL PARTY THAT RELIES ON FEAR TACTICS DOESN'T DESERVE OUR TRUST!

SHAME ON THEM.., ONE AND ALL !!!
