I apologize for not being timely with my posts. Last week my kid was up on vacation (he finally got his musky). This week I was getting over last week. You know how that goes..."I need a vacation to get over my vacation !" Tomorrow will be another busy day, so I will post something from one of my friends....,maybe you.
I have to say my first contact with Mr. Mursau was while not hostile were critical. I disagreed with him on the carry law. He took the time to answer me, and my concerns. Since then he has kept me current with his news letters as well as emails. I am really starting to like this guy. He seems to take his job seriously. I like that ! I may become a cheer leader for him.

There is no question that the recovery we’re experiencing is a direct result of the work put in this session by the new Republican majority. Voters statewide used the election last November as a referendum on the job-killing, deficit creating policies of the previous administration and legislature. Last week, voters sent the same message when they rewarded four incumbent GOP Senators with recall election victories for the job they've done so far this session despite millions of dollars in special interest money that was spent to defeat them. Citizens across We took their message to heart, and we immediately got to work putting Thousands and thousands of new jobs, a balanced budget, a predicted surplus, and a bright and prosperous future are on the horizon because Our work is by no means done, but we are off to a good start. More than a year remains in the current legislative session, and we are currently putting together a fall agenda that will continue our growth and keep us on the path to prosperity. There is no doubt that come September, we will once again hit the ground running. |

Natural Resources Committee Update Shoreland Zoning Rules Delayed The Department of Natural Resources Board voted unanimously last week to delay for two years the implementation of new regulations scheduled to go into effect on February 1, 2012. The vote by the board came after a legislative committee held a public hearing on the rules in Minocqua in late July. Following the 6 hours of testimony, many committee members indicated they’d support a delay of the rules. The controversial rules were passed during the Doyle Administration in an effort to control development along lakes, rivers and streams. The rules establish minimum regulatory standards for building setbacks, cutting trees and shrubs, lot sizes and nonconforming structures. |
