More meaders

It's going to be close to 90 again today, at least that is what one source says, another says 83.  A great career path for any young person would be a meteorologist.  You can predict anything, and if you say it right, your always right.  10 % chance of rain.., it rains "I said it might" doesn't rain "I told you it might not"....,that's a racket.

"Old What's Her Name" is off for the week-end.  I don't bug her when she gets the week-end off.  If I let her sleep late, then she has less time to come up with the "Honey Do" list.

I really need to get some project going outside. When the weather gets warm, I hibernate more then a bear in winter.

The Corner Stone Choir will be singing tomorrow, so those of you in the choir practice, practice, practice.

Just a meander

It's going to be near 90 the next three days with rain on Sunday (UGH!)

I am not a summer person.  Sun burn, biting flies, sweat, et al, hold no draw on me.  You will more likely find me out on a fine winter day (sunshine mid 20's) then any summer day.  Temperatures ranging to 80 with low humidity are tolerable to pleasant, but above that, forget it.

How bout' them Packers, or how bout' them football players period.  The Billionaires are happy the multimillionaires are happy, and now we can look forward to another year of high priced entertainment.

It was disappointing last night when the NFL network canceled live CFL football (Thurs. 7pm) to talk about the multimillionaires new contracts.  The CFL isn't great football, but it does satisfy a certain hunger.

Here is a recipe I tried yesterday.  I scored it a "C" Bonnie scored it a "B".  It came off the top of my head.  It tasted better there then on my plate, but maybe it will give you some inspiration:

I'm going to try this today (yesterday). Make a "Mexican" meat loaf. Diced tomatoes (canned) to which I added crushed Serrano, Ancho and sweet pepper (red and green) stuff I dried myself. I am adding 2-3 tablespoons of Southern BBQ spice and 2-3 tablespoons taco seasoning (both from C2C), to two pounds of Venison/Beef burger. Smoke it with mesquite. Stand by for side.

My side will be a thick polenta mixed with leftover creamed corn, chilled to form a loaf. I will slice it, egg wash it, flour(masa harina) repeat then dip it in crushed Nachos, and deep fried. I'm thinking a salad, but maybe shredded lettuce, cheese and salsa on top of the meat loaf (I did the latter).

It was okay.

See Ya later

First Post

My First Post

I will write about anything, and everything.  If you don't like religion, or politics, be cautious when entering here.  You may hear my opinion on both, as well as get a good recipe, hear about the comings, and goings of my wife, and myself, the weather, my pups, fishing, hunting, or even about my bratty Daughter-In- Law  :-).

I sometimes rant, talk to myself in the third person, and muse, meander, offer opinions and more (where did I hear that...,you wrote it dummy..,I'm just trying to be whitty....,fat chance of that....,shut up...,ok)  See what I mean..

If you disagree with me, I will challange you, so have your facts ready.  I tolerate different opinions, but not the "Because your Mother wears Combat Boots" stuff.  Nobody learns from that.

In Short, Welcome Aboard !
